What could go wrong
during production
|
How are you going to
avoid this issue? What’s your back up plan?
|
|
Images
are out of focus
|
- To avoid this happening I need to ake sure I
take test shots whilst on the photoshoot, therefore I can check that the
camera is in focus before beginning to take a large amount of images.
This means I can check whether the images will work with the lighting,
as well as check that they are in focus, and will come out with a high
quality images.
- To avoid this, I will also need to take time
with my pictures, and the photoshoot, and not rush through, as I need
quality over quantity.
- To also avoid this I need to plan the images
beforehand, as it will help to know what images I will be taking, and
what settings I need to use on the camera, to make sure its both in
focus, and works the best for the photos I want to take.

Models
don’t turn up
|
- To avoid this happening I will need to arrange
a meeting with the models to double check over the times that I will be
needing them, and send out an email or text to double check that they
know where they need to be and when.
- By emailing or sending out a text, they can
then contact me back if need be, and confirm times. It would also be
wise to have back up models incase they don’t turn up, therefore I can
contact someone else incase, and double check that they would be ready
and available to model on that day.

Memory sticks getting
lost
|
- To avoid this I need to make sure that when saving work, I make
more than one copy, and try to avoid using memory sticks, instead aiming
to save work on the college network.
- The reason for this is that if the file gets lost or becomes
corrupted, the technicains at college can retreieve the work, as whereas
if I lose the memory stick its going to cuase issues in retreiving work.
- I can also save work at home, therefore creating an extra
backup.
|
|
Props go missing
|
- To avoid this I need to make sure I know where I am putting the
props, and be certain that they are in a safe and secure place, rather
than placing them somewhere in which they could get lost or be
misplaced.
- Also it would be wise to have backup props, just incase, and
double check the night before the photo-shoot that I know where they
are.
|
|
Files become corrupted
|
- To avoid this, I need to save the files I’m working on
reguluary, especially on large peieces of work, and it would be wise to
make more than one copy of them, and save on different areas, e.g the
network and at home.
- Also by saving work on the college network it can be recovered
if it does beocme corrupted, as they have technicains in college which
can help me retreieve my work.
|
|
I become ill on the day
of the shoot
|
- At all costs try to get in for the photoshoot, but if not make
sure I rearrange another time to take the photos, and if the studio isnt
available, check that external shoots can be completed, with a similar
higher quailty finish.
- I will also need to inform the models that the shoot is
cancelled, and make sure way before the shoot, that we have a backup day
with another time to do the shoot. I will therefore need to check if
they are available.
|
|
Models not turning up in
costume
|
- To avoid this I need to have a backup costume to bring along to
the shoot incase the models forget.
- I will therefore make sure it fits them fully, and remind the
models before the shoot what costumes they need, and send them reminders
about it, hopefully avoiding them not turning up in costume.
|
|
Creating work at home
and then not being able to access it at college because we don’t have the
right software or other software compatibilities
|
- To avoid this I need to really aim to do all my work at
college, and save it on the college netowrk, so if anything goes wrong
then the technicians can sort it out.
- Also, I can do extra work in frees, or if there is a chance of
taking a college laptop home, with college software on it, I can do
that, therefore avoiding using my computer, and potentially corrupting
work, and losing it.
|
|
Not enough time
scheduled for difficult or complex shoots.
|
- To avoid this I need to not over complicate the photo shoots in
the first place, and aim to have a photo shoot which I can carry out
with too many complications and timing issues.
- But if they are going to be complicated, then I need to make
sure I book extra time for the photo shoot, and double check that the
models know what is going on and how complex the shoot will be.
|
|
Fonts not installed on C
drives
|
- To avoid this I need to make sure I note down what fonts I am
using from the DaFont.com website, and download them into a file which I
can locate easily and remember.
- I can also save them onto a memory stick, and possibly my
computer at home, so I have copies of them, and know where to locate the
fonts, and therefore install them onto the C Drive.
